A : 난 너가 공포영화를 왜 그렇게 좋아하는지 모르겠어.

무섭다면서 왜 계속 봐?

B : 그 스릴을 즐기는거지. 롤러코스터도 마찬가지야

사람들이 무서워하면서도 좋아하잖아

A : 아.. 난 그렇게는 생각 안 해봤는데 그것도 말 되네.

B : 맞아 그거랑 똑같은거야.

Why do you watch them even if you feel afraid?

B : I just enjoy that thrill same as roller coasters.

People like them while being scared.

A : Ah... I didn't think like that way but it makes sense.

B : Yeah it's the same way.

B : I enjoy the rush. It's the same with roller coasters.

People get scared but they enjoy it.

A : Oh, I haven't thought of it like that but that makes sense.

※US에서는 주로 movie라 하고 UK에서는 film이라 한다.

무섭다면서 => 무섭다고+하면서 (그 사람이 그 말을 한 적이 있다)

You say you are scared / You say they scare you

You say they scare you, then why why do you keep watching them?

~도 마찬가지야

It's the same with ~

B : I enjoy the rush. It's the same with roller coasters.

rush -> 그 순간에 밀려오는 그 감정

cf) Roller coasters are same.

롤러코스터 자체가 무엇인가와 같다는게 아니라

People experience the same thing with roller coasters.

경험에서 느끼는 게 같다는 거니까 cf문장이 아님!

People get scared but they enjoy it.

여기서의 it은 롤러코스터 그 자체를 가리키는게 아니라 '롤러코스터 타는 것'을 지칭

it => going on roller coasters / riding roller coasters

 

그렇게는 생각 안해봤는데

I haven't thought of it like that : 그렇게

I haven't thought of it that way : 그런 식으로

I've never looked at it like that

A : Oh...I haven't thought of it like that but that makes sense.

B : Yeah. It's just like that.
